Revival of modern university medicine in Ukraine due to the creation in 2020 of the University Clinic of the National Medical University named after OO Bogomolets is not just a move towards the latest and most breakthrough technologies in global healthcare. It is also a revival of the traditions of the Kyiv medical school in the person of specialists who carry a part of medicine of the early twentieth century.
The development of technologies, human resources and scientific and practical base has led to the fact that today the University Clinic of NMU named after OO Bogomolets is a multidisciplinary medical institution at the state level, where the three components of the institution of higher medical education - education, science and medical work - are integrated for the benefit of public health.
Today, 12 departments are located on the basis of the University Clinic, medical capacities are being increased, which will significantly increase the level of medical care, to which students will be actively involved during their studies.
The University Clinic consists of the following departments: Department of Diseases of Therapeutic Profile, Neurology Department, Department of Diseases of Surgical Profile, Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory, Department of Radiation, Ultrasound and Functional Diagnostics, Department of Endoscopic Diagnostics and Surgery , consultative and diagnostic clinic.
The Department of Diseases of therapeutic profile consists of: 30 beds of therapeutic profile, 25 beds of gastroenterological profile, 40 beds of cardiological profile and 5 beds of endocrinological profile.
The department of surgical diseases consists of 25 surgical beds and 20 gynecological beds.
The neurological department is represented by 40 beds of neurological profile and 10 beds of post-stroke rehabilitation.
Consultative and diagnostic clinic, where doctors accept the following specialties: surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, therapy, neurology, cardiology, gastroenterology, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, dermatovenereology, tuberculosis, infectious diseases, psychiatry, psychophysiology, urology, narcology , radiology, functional diagnostics, ultrasound diagnostics, reflexology, therapeutic dentistry.
